CrowdInbox is a free email app for iPhone, Windows, macOS and Linux. The iPhone app is currently available through TestFlight. The desktop app is a complete email client with no time limit and is available on this page as a preview for Windows, macOS and Linux.
On your phone
CrowdInbox for Android
An Android version is planned and will follow the other platforms. The shared core of the app is already prepared for it.
On your computer
The desktop app is a fully usable preview that has not yet been tested extensively on all systems.
CrowdInbox for Windows
You install the app from the Microsoft Store. The Store also keeps it up to date.

CrowdInbox for Linux
The .deb package is intended for Debian 12 and Ubuntu 22.04 or later. The AppImage runs without installation.
The Linux packages do not update themselves yet, and new versions are published on this page. The AppImage contains its own web engine, which is only updated with a new version of the app. Checksums (SHA-256)
Requirements
- An email account with IMAP access, for example with Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, GMX, WEB.DE, Posteo or mailbox.org, or on your company’s own server. The app determines the server settings from your email address.
- For Gmail and iCloud, an app password. The app and the help page explain where to create one.
Not required
- An account with us. CrowdInbox connects directly to your mail server. No registration is needed to read and write email.
- A payment method. The email app is free. Only CrowdInbox Plus is paid, and Plus is not required to use the app.
- Sharing your email with us. Email is transferred directly between your mail server and your device. The exceptions are two features that run through the relay of CrowdInbox by ServerCrowd and that you switch on yourself: instant notifications on the iPhone, and “Send Later Without the App”, which sends scheduled email while all of your devices are switched off. The privacy policy describes both in detail.
